NPF is a multifaceted organization committed to using preservation as a tool for revitalization across the state. We launched our community revitalization branch in early 2018 and are working to transform our communities into places where residents and visitors alike want to spend their time, energy, and money.
The revitalization of our historic properties and neighborhoods strengthens our local economy, providing opportunities for construction investment, new jobs, an increased tax base, and new opportunities for business and development. Additionally, the retention and reuse of historic and older buildings diverts demolition waste from our local landfills and contributes to building a more sustainable community overall.
NPF has several programs and services which contributes to the revitalization of our communities. These programs and services include:
- Revolving Fund for Historic Neighborhood Revitalization
- Community engagement and outreach
- Economic development
- Restoration, design, and energy efficiency guidance
- Historic home consultations
