As a member-supported organization, annual membership dues are the foundation of the Nevada Preservation Foundation and are vital to our continued success. Your support directly sustains our mission to preserve, educate, and advocate for Nevada’s historic places through a variety of programs and educational opportunities.
Becoming a member means joining a growing network of preservationists and advocates committed to protecting our recent past for future generations. Through your membership, you help strengthen a collective effort to retain, restore, and interpret Nevada’s important buildings, neighborhoods, and cultural landscapes.

NPF Membership Transition FAQs
I have an older NPF membership. Can I switch to one of the new membership tiers?
Yes! You can switch to a new tier at any time. Your remaining membership value will be applied toward the new tier, and your benefits will update immediately.
What happens if I want to move up to a higher-priced tier?
If you upgrade, you simply pay the difference between your current membership value and the cost of the new tier. Your membership will renew for a full 12 months from the upgrade date, and you’ll instantly receive all benefits of the higher tier—including any HHLV perks.
What if the new tier costs the same as my old membership level?
Great news—if the price is the same, we’ll move you to the new tier at no additional cost. Your membership expiration date stays the same, and your updated benefits start immediately.
Can I move down to a lower-priced tier?
Downgrades are allowed, but only at your next renewal date. This ensures that your current membership value and any benefits you’ve already used are honored.
What if I want to switch tiers mid-year?
You are welcome to switch mid-year if you are upgrading to a higher tier. If you want to switch laterally or downgrade, the change will take effect at your renewal date.
What happens to my old membership when I switch to a new tier?
Your remaining membership value is carried over and applied to the new tier. There are no refunds for old plans, but any unused value is credited toward your new membership. Once switched, your membership renews for 12 months and you receive all the updated benefits.
When do I have to switch to an annual plan?
We are phasing out monthly memberships gradually to make the transition smooth and member-friendly. You will receive several reminders before your monthly plan ends, and you can switch to an annual plan at any time—with access to special transition incentives.
Here is the full timeline for the transition:
- • January–March: Monthly members are encouraged to switch, with special upgrade incentives available.
- • April: NPF will begin direct outreach to remaining monthly members with instructions on transitioning.
- • Fall: Monthly memberships begin phasing out at each member’s renewal date, with ample notice.
- • By December: All memberships will be moved onto annual plans.
Switching early ensures you receive the full benefits of the new membership structure and any exclusive bonuses offered during the transition period.

I already purchased tickets for HHLV 2026. Can I still become an NPF member?
Yes! If you’ve already purchased HHLV tickets, you can upgrade to any NPF membership tier at any time. We will credit the cost of your purchased HHLV tickets toward the membership fee.
How does the Ticket-to-Membership Credit work?
When you upgrade to a membership:
- • NPF applies the full amount you spent on HHLV 2026 tickets toward the membership tier you choose.
- • You only pay the remaining balance (if any).
- • Your previously purchased tickets convert into the benefits included in your new membership tier.
No refunds are issued; instead, your ticket purchase becomes a credit toward membership.
What happens to the HHLV tickets I already bought?
Your tickets are not lost. They are converted into your membership benefits. If the membership tier you choose offers additional HHLV perks—such as early access, discount codes, exclusive merch, or free tour tickets—you receive those benefits immediately.

How do I start the ticket-to-membership upgrade?
Simply contact us and we will:
- 1. Confirm the details of your original ticket purchase (event, quantity, total paid).
- 2. Ask which membership tier you want.
- 3. Apply your HHLV ticket credit to your membership fee.
- 4. Send you the remaining balance (if any).
- 5. Activate your membership immediately.
You will receive a confirmation email summarizing:
- • Your new membership tier
- • Ticket credit applied
- • Balance paid
- • Your full membership benefits
- • Instructions on redeeming your HHLV perks
When do my membership benefits begin?
Your benefits start immediately after the upgrade. This includes early access to HHLV events, discounts, merch eligibility, and any complimentary tickets provided by your tier.
Can I get a refund instead of a credit?
No. NPF does not issue refunds for previously purchased HHLV tickets. However, 100% of your ticket purchase is credited toward your membership, making this one of the best-value ways to support preservation efforts.
What if the HHLV event I bought tickets for is now sold out?
You will still receive your ticket credit toward membership, and because your new tier may offer early access or reserved tickets, you may unlock benefits that help secure the events you want.
