The Bliss Family was known primarily for owning Bliss Dairy in the 1950’s. Sid Bliss was an entrepreneur also involved with the development of several casinos in Las Vegas. In July of 1958,  Hugh Taylor designed this two-story cottage style house for them on Paradise Road in the Desert Inn Estates. A notable architectural element is the large planter in the living room which transcends the west wall, creating a spatial relationship between the interior and exterior areas of the home.
